Sacred Cranium Grey foil wallpaper

£225.00 Per Roll

Description

This dynamic wallpaper design was informed by my collage Sacred Cranium. Sacred Cranium was inspired by a magazine article about a fascinating intricately carved human skull found in an antique shop in Vienna. The skull was shrouded in mystery but thought to be around three hundred years old and seemed to hold some religious significance because of the nature of the carvings which were symbols of figures.

The origins of the skull were traced to Tibet. Such skulls it seems were carved to take an evil curse off a family or guide the soul of a misled person onto the right path.

Sacred Cranium sees my own jeweled version of the carved skull in striking vertical stripes.
